So, this was my first time using brie cheese and…man, I have been missing out! I had some leftover from these hors d’oeuvres and baked it in the oven and oh my goodness—WOW. Once you taste baked brie, your life is forever changed.

Anywayyy back to these babies! I made these hors d’oeuvres for Valentine’s Day and shared them on my first IG Reel. I stored them in the fridge for a couple of hours and then added them to a Valentine’s Day charcuterie board with crackers, grapes, and mixed nuts. They were such a lovely addition to the board, and the bright green from the pears added a beautiful pop of color!

My favorite types of recipes are simple ones. These definitely fall into that category. Just cut the pears into slices, thinly slice the brie, wrap with prosciutto, and secure with a toothpick. It took me about 15 minutes total— super fast and easy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Bartlett Pears

  • ½ lemon

  • 4 oz Brie Cheese

  • 2 (3oz) packages prosciutto

  • toothpicks

Instructions:

  1. Using a sharp knife, cut the pears into ¼” thick slices. Squeeze the lemon over the pear slices to keep them from turning brown. Set aside.

  2. Divide the brie into 4 wedges. Cut along the side of each wedge and sliver each wedge into thin pieces.

  3. Cut each piece of prosciutto in half.

  4. Assemble each hors d’oeuvre by placing a slice of the brie cheese on top of a pear slice. Wrap in prosciutto half and secure with a toothpick. Enjoy!
