I want to say a special thank you to my father-in-law for the amazing homemade tomato juice! It truly helped make this recipe a special one. The burst of flavor from the freshly picked tomatoes and the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness truly elevated the soup to a whole new level. The painstaking effort that went into preparing the tomatoes and meticulously extracting their essence was truly commendable. His homemade tomato juice added a vibrant color and depth of flavor that simply cannot be replicated by store-bought alternatives. Thank you, Bill, for sharing your passion for cooking and for creating such a remarkable tomato juice. It truly made a difference in this recipe and in our hearts!
Once you’ve gathered and chopped your ingredients, everything is super easy to just throw together. In a large pot over medium-high heat, brown the beef, sausage, and onions together. Add remaining ingredients, stir, cover, and simmer over medium heat until cabbage is tender. Pair with cornbread or sourdough bread and enjoy!
